Student Member
£30 / year
Ideal for students currently studying nutrition, health or related disciplines.
Eligibility

Must meet at least ONE of the following:

  • Enrolled in a bachelors or graduate degree of more than six months' duration from an accredited institution.
  • Enrolled in a professional diplomate or recognised vocational qualification of more than six months' duration.

For individuals with an interest in nutrition education and supporting the profession.
Eligibility

Must meet at least ONE of the following:

  • Has a degree or equivalent vocational qualification in any field.
  • Demonstrates a sustained interest in supporting nutrition education, health and related research.

Post-nominals: MIANE
For experienced professionals demonstrating advanced knowledge and professional practice in nutrition education.
Portfolio Assessment Pathway

Must meet ONE of the following:

  • A bachelors or graduate degree in a relevant field with demonstrated consistent interest in nutrition and health-related education and/or associated research or practice.
  • A professional diplomate or recognised vocational qualification together with three or more years of substantive professional experience in nutrition and health-related education and/or associated research or practice.

And must also:

  • Demonstrate an additional minimum of three years' experience in nutrition and health-related education and/or associated research or practice.
  • Provide at least two professional references from senior colleagues who have worked directly with the applicant for at least 6–12 months.
Advanced Professional Diplomate Examination Pathway

Eligibility

  • Has a degree or equivalent vocational qualification in any field.
  • Demonstrates a sustained interest in nutrition education, health and related research.

Plus ONE of the following:

  • Completion of the NNEdPro Advanced Professional Diplomate Examination in Medical & Healthcare Nutrition.
  • Completion of the NNEdPro Advanced Professional Diplomate Examination in Nutrition for Community Development.

Note

Both examinations require online written examinations together with an essay and critical appraisal, delivered through the Virtual Learning Environment.

The highest level of professional membership recognising sustained leadership and impact.
Eligibility

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Seniority and outstanding service to their health-related profession as a leader, role model or mentor.
  • Outstanding contribution to the promotion of nutrition education.
  • Recognition as an expert within one or more nutrition fields.
  • Attributes of an advanced practitioner.
  • Active participation in the work of NNEdPro and IANE.
  • Membership of NNEdPro or IANE for the five years prior to nomination.

Honorary Fellow
By Invitation
Post-nominals: FIANE (Hon)
Awarded to individuals recognised for exceptional leadership and outstanding contribution to nutrition education.
Eligibility

Typically awarded to:

  • Recipients of the IANE Outstanding Achievement Award.
  • Senior leaders, role models or mentors demonstrating outstanding service.
  • Individuals making a significant contribution to the promotion of nutrition education.
  • Recognised experts within one or more nutrition fields.
  • Individuals demonstrating the attributes of an advanced practitioner.

  • Use of the honorary post-nominals FIANE (Hon).
