Short bio
An Open Data advocate for Sustainable Development, which gave me the privilege to attend the NNEdPro Summer School in 2018. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Environmental Governance from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva – Switzerland; an M. Sc in Forestry and Environmental Management from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike – Nigeria and BSc Environmental Protection and Resource Management from the University of Calabar, Calabar – Nigeria. I collaborate in demonstrating the fundamental role that ecological restoration plays in reversing ecosystem degradation, protecting biodiversity, enhancing the delivery of ecosystem services, fostering equitable and sustainable development, and contributing to mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change. My knowledge and experience span over twenty-five years from new practical experience on community participation mechanism to shape the governance process. I am currently a Director (Scientific) and Head of Department Environmental Multilateral Support and Cooperation at the Cross River State Ministry of Environment.I am also the National Focal Person for IUCN-WCPA Nigeria, Regional Coordinator for Mountain Specialist Group for West and Central Africa. I am a Member of many international/ National professional bodies.
